On a whim, I went ahead and spend some time remodeling the design and printing a 'low quality' prototype to test fit everything. This is a non-functioning model at this point. I was missing some of the right filament (see missing button, and the yellow color isn't quite right), and I plan on adding mock wiring out of a bit of high AWG wiring. But more or less, the design worked really well (minus some needed tolerance tweaks and cosmetic fixes).
I don't think I will make the actual grinder spin as originally planned. However I'm considering revisiting this and instead adding a speaker (to replicate the in-game sounds) and a functioning LED light. Pressing a button will turn on LED and play the sound bite. A rather simple thing to do, as there are a ton of pre-made PCB boards that have this capability.
I may also add more the cosmetic details, and maybe even paint one up if I'm feeling particularly daring.
